This house was the property
of Eduardo H. Gato, Jr., who made Key West famous with his cigars. Mr.
Gato came to Key West during the turbulent times of independence for Cuba.
The Guest House is cooled by Atlantic Ocean breezes and is a beautiful example
of Victorian architecture. The gardens have a variety of tropical plants
and trees.
